Incorporated by the New Jersey State Legislature on February 28, 1844, Clinton Cemetery Association is a not-for-profit, nonsectarian cemetery authorized to operate pursuant to Certificate of Authority No. 55 issued by the New Jersey Cemetery Board. The cemetery is an authorized charity under USC Section 501c(13).
Since 1844 there have been approximately 12,000 interments in the cemetery.
The association is operated by a Board of Managers composed of five lot/grave owners elected annually. One manager is elected as president. Another serves as Secretary-Treasurer. The managers are volunteers who serve without pay.
